What are the different methods of T-shirt printing?

There are various types of t-shirt printing

the most common is: SILK SCREEN

Then TRANSFER PRINTING

You also get VINYL TRANSFER PRINTING

And Then you get DTG (DIRECT TO GARMENT PRINTING)

All have there positives and negatives.

If you want to start your own BRAND or Start your own T-shirt printing business.

You should be familiar with all processes.

What is the best method of T-shirt printing?

Well if you want a HIGH QUALITY print: DTG or SILKSCREEN

Direct to garment will give you the highest quality, but also is the most expensive…

Silkscreen is the most commonly used in the wolrd and people who know what they are doing can achieve very high quality print.

Most Billabong, quicksilver, Tapout, Badboy, Rip Curl Surf wear brands are done with Silkscreening…

If you want a one off, I suggest DTG printing, as there is no big setup fee.

here is an example of a DTG print:

Designed and printed by GUY TASKER from

www.tshirtprinting.co.za & www.2cooldesign.co.za

Where as silkscreening requires a setup fee and will cost you a lot to print 1 t-shirt..
